The Campbell River RCMP detachment is taking their challenge to a new level!  Gator’s youngest family member and her pals have already started the fun with their Lemonade and Craft Sale!!!

We also have it on good authority there is a mountain of cans and bottles to push this fundraiser over the edge!!!

Stay tuned as the two rivalry Detachments have a friendly fundraising frenzy to see who can raise the most funds for all our Retired Heroes!!!

The Comox Valley RCMP and the Campbell River RCMP have entered into a friendly competition to see who can raise the most funds for Ned’s Wish before August 15th, 2022.  It has been one year (July 8, 2021) that PSD Gator was killed in the line of duty in Campbell River and so this opportunity for a fundraising challenge was one that the two RCMP Detachments simply could not refuse!!

There will be a detachment BBQ in support of Ned’s Wish in August and the Campbell River detachment empties will go toward their fundraising goal until the deadline.  If you have any fundraising ideas over the next few weeks, please see Monika at the Courtney RCMP Detachment and she can make them happen! As a start… when they reach $250, Inspector Kurvers has offered to shave his moustache – let’s see how quickly you can make this happen!!

You will start to see donation jars and information sheets around the detachment… so please donate liberally. Stay tuned for updates as they move along in this challenge.

Ned’s Wish is a society committed to supporting law enforcement and the Canadian Armed Forces by providing financial and educational support to enhance the quality of life for their K-9 retirees in Canada.  After human police and armed forces officers finish serving their communities, their pension funds take care of them…. Ned’s Wish is here to help the furry retirees.  Because their work is so physically demanding, often the healthcare bills are very demanding in retirement for these dogs. Ned’s Wish exists to help retired police and military dogs enjoy their remaining years.
