We are heart broken to announce the loss of recently registered Ned’s Wish Hero, PSD Axel. Axel came to Ned’s Wish from the Ontario Provincial Police, where he served as a Drug Detection dog in the North Bay area. Axel retired in 2018 and just passed over the rainbow bridge on November 27, 2022.
Axel had an accomplished career, detecting illegal drugs and then assisting in numerous drug seizures in schools. In his retirement, Axel loved to swim and duck his head under water to grab sticks or rocks, and of course, he loved to retrieve balls. Rest in Peace Axel, thank you for the years of dedicated service!
