Tribute for Denver

We’re very saddened to announce the recent passing of PSD Denver, #944 on July 23, 2024.

PSD Denver was born at the RCMP Police Dog Service Training Centre in Innisfail, AB on September 30, 2011. He served with the RCMP during his career and worked out of High Level, AB and Regina, SK. He provided his services throughout both provinces to a large number of detachments.

Throughout Denver’s career, he was known to never give up on a search, track, or arrest. He worked in many difficult conditions that included searching all day in 20 degrees Celsius. He was able to bring closure to a number of different families who had missing loved ones. Denver worked with Dave McClarty for the entirety of his career. As much as Denver worked hard, he also liked to play hard too…maybe too hard.

Denver lived out his retirement on an acreage near Edmonton, AB. He was an excellent police dog and partner throughout his active service days and he was an excellent companion and loyal friend to his adopted people in his retirement. Denver will never be forgotten.

You’ve done your duty, Denver. Thank you for your service, Boy.
Rest in peace.

Condolences to Denver’s former handler, Sgt. Dave McClarty and personnel in “K” Division (Alberta) & “F” Division (Saskatchewan) who worked with Denver as we offer respectful acknowledgement of the passing of this dedicated PSD partner.

We at Ned’s Wish were honoured to have supported this Retired Hero.
