Dero, Regimental #922

Dero is a purebred German Shepherd who worked for the RCMP. He was born on January 25, 2011 at the Police Dog Service Training Centre in Innisfail, Alta.

Dero spent his entire career in Prince George, BC with his handler Devin Esquirol. He captured countless criminals and located many missing people during his tenure. He was an excellent tracker and excelled in everything he did.

Now that Dero is retired, he spends his time hogging all the dog toys he’s supposed to share with his Mastiff “sister.” They’ve become inseparable. Dero’s favourite activities include riding ATVs and swimming. He’s also been called a heartbreaker by many who fall in love with his one crooked ear.

Although Dero is enjoying his retirement, he also suffers from Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency.
