Henri, Regimental #955

Henri was born on May 21st, 2011 in Washington, USA. He was brought to Canada and became a police dog with the RCMP, where he was posted to the Alberta Roving Traffic Unit! Henri and his partner Cst. Frederick primarily worked the Highway 16 corridor outside of Edmonton, Alberta.

Over the course of his career, Henri was involved in the seizure of several millions of dollars worth of illegal substances. He assisted in particularly large seizures over the course of his career, including multi-kilogram seizures of cocaine, methamphetamine, fentanyl and several hundred pounds of cannabis! Henri was also one of the very first dogs to be trained on fentanyl detection, leading the way for the future of drug detection.

Henri is now loving retirement! He lives with Cst. Frederick and his family and has taken over his new posting as the family pet with ease. He loves anyone that is willing to scratch or pat him, and will even give you a big smile if you scratch him at just the right spot behind his ears!
