PSD Jaxx was born in Innisfail, AB, in 2016 through the RCMP breeding program. He dedicated his law enforcement career to the RCMP in Yorkton, SK, serving from 2018 until October 2024.
As a General Duty Police Dog with a narcotics profile, Jaxx played a crucial role in numerous arrests and investigations, including the high-profile apprehension of suspects involved in the death of a fellow RCMP member.
Renowned for his relentless tracking abilities, Jaxx could pursue suspects for hours, undeterred by long hours, summer heat, or the darkest nights. His unwavering determination made him a formidable asset in tracking armed suspects, never giving up until the job was done.
Despite his dedication, there was one aspect of police work PSD Jaxx didn’t enjoy: the sirens. His handler had to avoid using the siren in his vehicle because Jaxx’s howling would drown out all other sounds!
Now retired, PSD Jaxx is enjoying a well-deserved rest with his handler in Regina, SK, happy and healthy.
