Jett, Regimental #3351

Celebrating the Retirement of PSD Jett 🐾

After five years of dedicated service with the Durham Region Police, Police Service Dog Jett is officially hanging up his harness.

Jett began his career as a drug detection dog, using his finely tuned nose to help keep harmful substances off our streets. Later, he transitioned into tracking and apprehension, where he mastered the art of pursuit and takedown—becoming a formidable force against crime.

One unforgettable summer evening, Jett was called to assist in a case involving an assault with a weapon. The suspect had fled into a dense, wooded area. Undeterred by the heat and exhaustion, Jett pressed on and successfully located and apprehended the suspect, proving once again why he’s one of the best.

Now, Jett heads into retirement with his favorite companion—his beloved Kong toy. He spins with joy at the mere sight of it, ready to enjoy a well-earned life of play and relaxation.

Thank you, PSD Jett, for your courage, loyalty, and service. The streets of Durham are safer because of you. Enjoy your retirement—you’ve earned every moment. 🎉
