Meet the dashing and dedicated PSD Jock! Born in Innisfail, after training Jock embarked on a journey north to serve a distinguished career in Grande Prairie and later in Edmonton West.
Jock was a full-profile explosives detection expert. Throughout his illustrious career, he played a crucial role in several high-profile cases, ensuring the safety of many. His impressive resume includes involvement in the protection of visiting dignitaries like the Pope and various political leaders.
After six years of stellar service, Jock hung up his badge in August 2024. Now, he’s enjoying a well-deserved retirement filled with relaxation and plenty of time with his favorite Kong toy. If any of those dignitaries were to visit him now, they’d likely be greeted with enthusiastic face licks instead of serious sniffs!
Despite his heroic past, Jock faces a challenge with an environmental allergy that affects the pads on his feet, causing cracks and swelling. Thankfully, with the help of medication, he’s able to manage the discomfort and continue enjoying his golden years.
