Loki, Regimental #K9-22

In Norse mythology Loki is a bad god who, struggling in bonds placed on him for evil-doing, causes earthquakes.  Regina, Saskatchewan Police Dog Loki, on the other hand, is “so full of love it’s hard to believe he was ever fierce when protecting the public.”

Loki obtained his badge in 2017 as a dual-purpose dog trained for patrol and explosive detection.  So good was his sense of smell that Loki was made a full-time bomb sniffer – handled by the unbelievably appropriately named Sgt. Noesgaard – and even got the gig protecting the Grey Cup game.

In retirement, Loki loves being a lap dog, playing with his rescue puppy pal and sleeping when out for a boat ride.  Loki is the first Regina Police Service dog to join Ned’s Wish, and we wish him a long, healthy and happy retirement.
