Nelly, Regimental #19-077

Meet Nelly! No, not the singer, but a spunky and enthusiastic German Shepherd, whose superb genes and character traits earned her an honoured place as one of the RCMP police dog program’s breeding females.

Nelly was born at the RCMP Police Dog Services Training Centre in Innisfail, Alberta.
She was part of the RCMP puppy program and started her training in Vernon, BC, with an RCMP officer who was working toward becoming a dog handler. Nelly is full of energy and sass. She trained hard each day with her handler and proved to be a shining star.  Due to her great traits as a police dog, Nelly was chosen for the RCMP breeding program.

While Nelly is a great and loving mom she cannot abide socks lying around and will turn them into Swiss cheese, or they may just disappear (maybe she’s part clothes dryer?).  She also takes great pleasure in unrolling toilet paper from the dispenser and running around the house with her prize.

Welcome to the pack, Nelly!
