Red, Regimental #924

Red, Regimental #924

When you scroll through the Heroes page of Ned’s Wish website, you will notice a common trend, lots and lots of German Shepherds. While they may be the popular breed when it comes to Law Enforcement agencies, we here at Ned’s Wish would like to introduce you to PSD Red. Red is a Fox Red Lab, but don’t let that fool you, Red can keep up with the best of them, especially when it comes to using that nose of his.

Unlike his Shephard counterparts, who are usually born and raised in Innisfail, Red comes to us from Trail Runner Kennels, in Big River, Saskatchewan.  Red may not have been relied on to pursue bad guys in a foot chase, like his brothers in the force, but he was relied on to use his extraordinary nose to uncover their shenanigans.  While we here at Ned’s Wish are delighted to welcome Red to our pack, we can assure you that the bad guys he caught during his career are not all too happy about having dealt with him.  Red and his handler were responsible for seizing over ten million dollars of narcotics during his service.  Just for context some things you can buy with ten million dollars would be, one-hundred seconds of advertising during the Super-Bowl, a Three Masted Schooner, or your very own Broadway Production.

Well done Red!  Thank you for keeping so many drugs off the Canadian streets.

Red is very much enjoying his life during retirement, however; he still feels the call to duty.  When his handler is resting in his easy chair, Red loves to lay behind him, ready to go to work at any moment, just like when they used to  patrol together.  Ned’s Wish is tickled pink to introduce you to Red and we hope you love this hero as much as we do.
