Please join us in giving a very warm (and well-deserved) welcome to PSD Diesel! 🐾Born in the Czech Republic on July 4, 2015, Diesel clearly took the whole “independence and justice for all” thing to heart. After joining the Saskatoon Police Service in 2017, this hardworking German Shepherd spent eight years helping keep the citizens of Saskatoon safe — tracking down armed suspects, assisting with violent offender arrests, and even adding narcotics detection to his impressive resume in 2019. Safe to say, Diesel had quite the nose for both trouble and hidden drugs.But it wasn’t all serious police work for this good boy. Diesel also showed off his star power in the Saskatoon Police Service’s 2018 lip sync video and brought plenty of smiles during visits to Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital with K9 Cops for Kids — proving he could chase bad guys and brighten a room.
