PSD Jakk is currently living his best life in retirement. Jakk has traded in his work uniform in exchange for some new toys, some long walks and a wet coat of fur from all the swimming he’s doing. Jakk wasn’t just fast when it came to pursuing suspects, he’s also quite fast in the pool as well.
He is fully retired from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Jakk was quite the apprehender through his career! During a robbery call at an Esso gas station in Chilliwack British Columbia (BC), the suspect fled on foot and Jakk was sent on a foot pursuit, unfortunately for the suspect, Jakk was a lot faster than they were. Jakk was successfully able to apprehend them and recover all the stolen items and cash!
Jakk was posted to the lower mainland integrated police dog services and is now currently living large in Regina, Saskatchewan. During one of Jakk’s more memorable calls, there was a home invasion in Chilliwack that was conducted by suspects wearing RCMP uniforms. After a short pursuit, suspects lost control and hit the ditch, The suspects all proceeded to flee on foot. As the individual previously mentioned from the Esso incident could attest to, Jakk was very good at his job. Jakk was able to quickly apprehend one of the suspects, while the other two were apprehended by other members.
During another call, two individuals went winter camping at Cypress Mountain, one of the individuals returned to the main station suffering from multiple stab wounds. The other individual they were with turned out to be the suspect and was still out in the forest. Jakk and his handler were called in and were successfully able to locate the individual who themselves were also suffering from life threatening stab wounds. The Emergency Response Team assisted and returned the individual to safety. Without the help from Jakk who knows what could have happened.
